Our History | | | | Our history starts in 1964 as a result of an idea of Giovanni Dell’Orco and Silvano Villani, who had been involved in textile machinery manufacturing for many years. Their idea was to develop a new concept of a tearing machine for the reclaiming of textile wastes, a machine of much wider dimensions and much higher productivity, with larger diameter cylinders compared to the standards of those years. What in 1964 seemed to be a dotty idea has turned out eventually to be the way to make possible the reclamation of the new synthetic fibers appearing on the market (and in particular the Nylon fibers). These fibers were bringing new problems because of their tendency to melt during the tearing action. Therefore a proper cooling of the pins of the drum during the process was of capital importance for a perfect tearing of the fibers and the large dimensions of the drum certainly helped in solving the problem.
Originally the firm was involved in the repair and construction of textile machinery, primarily for the local textile area. The fast company growth led to its current position of world leader in the manufacturing of machines and plants for the recycling of textile waste materials and fibre blending equipment. Dell’Orco & Villani have also been able to extend our experience and know how into the fibre preparation and blending machinery for the yarn spinning and non woven industries and for the production of thermal bonded sound and heat insulating panels for the building and automotive industries.

| | From that idea has been a long time now, we have walked a long way, but it is still not time for hanging up our booths, the road goes on, and with it … ... also our adventure! |
