The machine has been designed to reopen the edge trim of nonwoven products, needle punched and thermobonded. The edge trim opener is composed by a main drum, a feeder unit, and three working cylinders. The feeder unit can be composed by two feeder cylinders or a cylinder and cradle.
All cylinders are clothed with rigid wire, while the drum can be clothed with either rigid wire or slats with pins. The type of rigid wire depends on the textile material being reopened. The drums and cylinders can be clothed with extremely fine wire for accurate opening or with coarser wire for a more decisive opening.
The feeder unit and working cylinders have variable speeds controlled by an inverter to adapt the machine speed to the line speed. The feed hopper is 500 mm wide and allows for the safe introduction of two edge trims up to 250 mm wide each. The machine is also built with feeding belt: AC/500-T.
