The TCO Double Opener is the evolution of the single CO machine. It is a latest-generation opener, composed of two consecutive work units, each with a set of peripheral working cylinders.
The machine is composed by a first section with two infeed cylinders, a main drum, and three working cylinders, all covered with rigid wire; the second section of the machine again consists of a drum and five working cylinders, also all covered with rigid wire.
This machine’s key feature is its flexibility of application. Thanks to all possible rigid wire combinations and the multiple speed and distance adjustments between the cylinders and drums, it can work optimally with a wide variety of textile materials.
The machine efficiently processes most nonwoven fabrics that are difficult to recover with other types of machinery. Indeed, it can restore to their fiber state, maintaining their length, a large portion of nonwovens, needlepunched fabrics, and heat-set fabrics that are normally considered unrecoverable. Specifically, the double pass eliminates any fabric parts that were not opened in the first section of the machine.
All motors are controlled by independent inverters. The opener can be feed manually or with a loader or volumetric silo.
